Schemas
Data schemas
The JSON Schemas (draft 2020-12) every TwinEthos rule, control, source, pack and release file validates against. Free to use for integrations.
Every data release is validated against these schemas before it is published. They change only with a changelog entry; optional fields are added without breaking existing files.
| File | Title | What it describes |
|---|---|---|
| assessment-context-v0.1.schema.json | TwinEthos Assessment Context (v0.1) | Portable evidence-backed input contract used by scanners, assistants, or LLMs to evaluate rule applicability. It does not itself make legal conclusions. |
| condition-v0.3.schema.json | Canonical Control Condition (v0.3) | P3. A first-class, versioned control condition — the normalized 'what must or must not be true in the code' that many authorities converge on. Rules point to a condition by id; convergence is COMPUTED from those pointers rather than hand-ma… |
| incident-registry-v0.1.schema.json | Incident registry v0.1 | Real-world AI incidents cited as evidence by recommended guardrails. Rules reference incidents by incident_id and add their own relevance statement. Evidence grades: primary (operator, regulator, court, or original researcher disclosure) > … |
| instrument-registry-v0.1.schema.json | TwinEthos Instrument Registry (v0.1) | Machine-readable instrument facts derived from the live rule, source, and pack corpus. MASTER-REGISTRY.md remains the long-form roadmap. |
| pack-v0.3.schema.json | TwinEthos Pack Manifest (v0.3) | Distribution manifest for a pack (one instrument's rules). v0.3 adds: per-rule source-anchor + condition coverage, source-license exposure roll-up, canonical-condition coverage, promotion/review model, and typed relationship-integrity summa… |
| rule-v0.3.schema.json | AI-Integration Compliance Rule (v0.3) | A single detectable rule governing how software integrates with AI. Rule-centric. v0.3 adds a structured applicability block (does this authority govern this system?) kept separate from detection (does the governed system contain the constr… |
| source-v0.3.schema.json | Source Artifact (v0.3) | The canonical, once-only store of a source instrument's text and metadata. Rules and requirements anchor INTO this via source_anchors[]; they never embed text. This is the single source of truth for verbatim provisions, so a provision is st… |
| tier-c-watchlist-v0.1.schema.json | Tier C Standards Watchlist (v0.1) | Officially sourced disposition register for licensed standards considered by the AI-integration corpus. It stores no licensed text. |
Informational data, not legal advice. The schemas describe the data's structure; licences for the data itself are in the terms.
